A Testimony to Competence?

It has been a few years since I was a member of the Manistique City Council. At that time I pointed out the heavy Winter ice load that results from the furnace exhausts and condensate drain tubes located over the roof of the side entrance to the multipurpose recreation building, located in the City of Manistique. All instructions for high efficiency furnace installations warn of the icing consequences in frigid weather and the corrosive nature of the furnace exhaust and heat exchanger condensate. No one cared, then.

Today the roof is corroding and the walls are stained on both sides as a consequence. The roof peak is partially crushed and sheet metal trim has been ripped away in places (from ice sliding off upper roof? abuse?). After 3 years of operation it looks shabby. The appearance implies no one cares, now.
